The history of Kings Road Entertainment Inc. is extremely rich in creative and financial achievements, including critical acclaim, Oscar nominations and box office successes. Well before the term “mini-major” was invented, Kings Road Entertainment was packaging and financing films with high profile and up-and-coming stars at budgets which were very reasonable at the time. This is difficult to achieve today, as the stars now command salaries equal to what were once the budgets for entire films. However, by telling entertaining, inspiring stories and being creative in financing, co-venturing and co-producing, the Company strives to continue making entertaining and successful movies that are affordable with recognizable marquee names. As is our tradition and has been a key to our success – we aim to combine a few established names with talented newcomers and use seasoned craftsmen to produce our movies.

The Company is fortunate to have a valuable library and many screenplays in its assets. The library is important in terms of long-term, recurring income as well as the sale and/or production of remake rights.

Kings Road Entertainment has engaged creative, experienced and talented production staff and is currently investigating development, production and co-production possibilities on its existing assets as well as a number of new screenplays which we have optioned. Discussions with suitable partners on these projects is ongoing.
